Good Samaritan Hospital Benefiting from Volunteers, Retired Medical Personnel; Wedding Broken up in Wesley Hills

Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern is good on coronavirus-related supplies so far, and while they continue to get what they need, replenishing them could be challenging. Dr. Mary Leahy, CEO of Bon Secours Charity Health System, says they’ve cut out visitations to the hospital to help keep supplies from being used unnecessarily. Dr. Leahy says they’ve gotten lots of support from the town of Ramapo, the hospital’s staff and from the community…

Ramapo supervisor Michael Specht says cutting back on staff has been a challenge for the town…

Meanwhile, social media became concerned yesterday over a large wedding at a home in Wesley Hills. Ramapo Police say they checked out the event and they found portable restrooms at the Harriet Lane location, which were then removed. They could not confirm there were more than 50 people in attendance, and no arrests were made. Rockland County Executive Ed Day said he was told there were more than 100 people at the event, and if that was the case, it and any others should not be taking place…

Day said he also asked the governor’s office to consider sending in State Police if it’s necessary to enforce the state’s emergency orders.
