NYS Governor Signs Sick Leave Bill

The governor signed legislation yesterday that ensures all workers get paid sick leave due to coronavirus. Rockland and Westchester State Senator David Carlucci says under the legislation, for example, businesses with 100 or more employees are required to give 14 days of paid sick leave, and businesses that have 11-99 employees will have to provide 5 days of paid sick leave…

The bill also waives the 7-day waiting period before New Yorkers can apply for unemployment insurance.
