Chester Man Accused of Trying to Rob Nyack Business, Steal Responding Officer’s Gun

A Chester man is due in Nyack Justice Court tomorrow after being accused of robbing an area office and trying to steal a responding police officer’s gun. DailyVoice.com says Orangetown police arrested 39 year-old Kim Vasquez, who reportedly entered an office on Cedar Hill Avenue Thursday and demanded an employee give him her jewelry and phone. He faces eleven charges, more than half of them felonies, including second-degree attempted robbery and two counts of second-degree assault. He was taken to the Rockland County Jail.
