Rockland County to Conduct “Point in Time” Homeless Count Next Week

Rockland County’s Continuum of Care is looking for volunteers for its annual “Point in Time” count of area homeless. The feds require the count in a single 24-hour period. Spring Valley Helping Hands program director Anna Kobelka says the count determines federal funding…

They also need volunteers to provide various services for the homeless that are counted, including barbers, hairdressers, nail technicians, physicians or anyone who can provide a service. The count will be done next Tuesday from 7am through 7am Wednesday and they work in shifts.
