No Movement on NYS Criminal Justice Reform Law Reforms

The future of the criminal justice reforms enacted January first remains unclear. A chorus of opponents has been echoing their sentiments for months while defenders have largely remained silent. Neither Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie nor Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins appears to be eager to revisit the law.
