Monsey Man Recognized for Bravery at Hanukkah Stabbing

A Monsey man was honored Tuesday at a ceremony in Ramapo for his heroism at the Hanukkah celebration where five were stabbed. 32 year-old Joseph Gluck lured the attacker out of the Rabbi’s home and got his license plate which the police were able to track down just hours later. Ramapo supervisor Michael Specht said the life-long Monsey resident doesn’t normally seek the spotlight, but he sprang to action at just the right time…

37 year-old Grafton Thomas of Greenwood Lake faces five federal charges of “obstructing the free exercise of religious beliefs by attempting to kill with a dangerous weapon” and each count carries a potential life sentence. His attorney has claimed Thomas suffers from mental illness. He was also reportedly arrested and released last summer in Orange County for allegedly menacing a police officer. The New York Post reported Thomas was once accused of squatting in a Salt Lake City house, the owners of which claimed he participated in “drug activity.”
