Hit-and-Run Victim’s Cousin Wants to Meet with Governor, State Senator to Discuss NY’s Criminal Justice Reforms

The victim of the Christmas Eve hit-and run incident in Stony Point was honored at a rally Sunday near the intersection where the incident occurred. 35-year-old Marie Rose Osai was killed after the crash at the intersection of Route 9W and Filors Lane around 8:45 Tuesday night. Stony Point assemblyman Colin Schmitt said the driver, who allegedly left the scene of the accident, was in the country illegally, didn’t have a driver’s license, and was released without bail thanks to the new criminal justice reform laws set to take effect tomorrow…

Osai’s cousin, Sheila Harris, says she wants to talk to Governor Andrew Cuomo and State Senator James Skoufis face-to-face about their support for the criminal justice reform laws…
