$10,000 Reward Offered in Monsey Stabbing Incident

A $10,000 reward has been posted in a stabbing case that has raised tensions among residents of a quiet, residential community in Monsey. Ramapo police say a 30-year-old man, described as a married teacher and father of four, is in critical condition after he was stabbed numerous times around at 5:40 Wednesday morning while walking on Howard Drive to his synagogue. At a press conference yesterday, Ramapo Police Chief Brad Weidel called the attack a “violent and vicious assault,” but he stressed he was not prepared yet to label it a hate crime…

Regional director of the Anti-Defamation League, Evan Bernstein, offered a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the attacker…

Chief Weidel had no information on the type of weapon that was used, a description of the suspect or suspects or a vehicle that may have been used. If you have any information, contact the Ramapo Police at 845-357-2400.
