Clarkstown Beefs up Patrols for a Safe Halloween

Halloween is tomorrow, and sometimes kids tend to get a little over-excited and perhaps a little rowdy. So Clarkstown supervisor George Hoehmann says the police department will be beefing up patrols in the area to help keeps things under control…

Travelers Insurance has said crime-related claims jump 17 percent on Halloween. To avoid falling victim to the tricksters, they suggest you keep your walkway well-lit to prevent trips and falls, if possible have someone stay in your home, check to see who’s at the door before you open it, and keep your pets indoors — you don’t want Rover to get spooked by strangers in disguise, and end up biting someone.
