O&R Sends Help to California to Deal with Fire-Related Electrical Issues

Orange & Rockland has sent help to California to help fix fire-related electrical issues. The fires and power failures wreaking havoc in California could last for days, or longer. That’s according to the LA Times, which reports winds are downing trees and electrical poles, leading to power cuts for millions and evacuations. O&R spokesman Mike Donovan says the company yesterday sent resources to help restore power to Pacific Gas and Electric customers…

Donovan says the Con Edison and O&R personnel sent out west will stay there as long as necessary. KGO TV reports the Kincade Fire has spread to around 75,000 acres and is 15 percent contained. High winds have contributed to the spread of the fires.
