RC Exec Declares Measles Epidemic Under Control; Nanuet Anti-Vax Lawyer Launches New Legal Show on WRCR

The measles is under control. That’s according to Rockland’s county executive, who isn’t expecting the epidemic to return. Ed Day says he didn’t see the need to renew the state of emergency when it expired last month…

Day says the health department has been in communication with each school district to make sure students that do not have medical exemptions all have their proper immunizations. Nanuet attorney Patricia Finn specializes in vaccination rights, and says parents should be able to choose what’s best for their children…

As of August 8th, there have been 290 confirmed cases of measles in Rockland County. Finn will be hosting a new show, “The Good Health Lawyer,” where she’ll be talking about this and other health issues and the law. Her show starts tonight after the 5 o’clock news.
