Audit Finds Rockland’s Surplus Fund for 2018 Jumps to Over $32 Million

A Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for 2018 has found Rockland’s government surplus funds jumped to just over $32 million, thanks to an improved economy, higher than budgeted revenues and lower than expected spending. Day says there’s still work to be done. He says to be considered “truly fiscally healthy” the fund balance should be between 50 and $80 million.
