Rocklanders to Gather Saturday for Silent Candlelight Protest of NYS Parole Board’s Vote to Release Pearl River Teen’s Killer

It’s being billed as a “peaceable demonstration.” Rocklanders will gather at the Pearl River Library Saturday night and march silently from the Pearl River Library to the park near the train station to protest the New York State Parole system that’s released one of Paula Bohovesky’s killers and may release another any day now. “Our Town News” publisher Art Aldridge covered the trial back in 1980…

Rockland County Executive Ed Day said the parole board seems to have ignored the horrific nature of their crime…

People will start gathering at the Pearl River Library at 80 Franklin Avenue Saturday night around 8:15 and start walking towards the park on South Main Street around 8:30.
