(Update 5/6/20) – Report: Paramus Man Drove Drunk, Strikes Three Pedestrians in Pearl River

May 6, 2020 (update): In 2019 a jury found John Connors guilty of driving while ability impaired, a violation, after a trial in Rockland County Court. He was acquitted of the other charges against him and fined $500.

(Originally published December 31, 2018) A 41-year-old Paramus man was jailed last week after reportedly driving drunk and hitting three pedestrians in Pearl River on purpose. DailyVoice.com says three victims with unspecified injuries were hit by John Connors near Ridge Street and West Jefferson Avenue last week in the early morning incident. Connors reportedly resisted arrest, kicked and damaged a police vehicle and made threats against the arresting officer. He is due back in Orangetown Justice Court in January.
