Report: Orangeburg Financial Adviser Pleads Guilty to Federal Fraud Charges

An Orangeburg financial adviser, known as a business and community leader, pleaded guilty yesterday to stealing more than $11 million from his clients. Lohud.com reports 77 year-old Hector May faces nearly 20 years in prison, fines of up to $400,000 and restitution over $8 million after pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud and investment adviser fraud in federal court in White Plains. He’ll be sentenced in March.
