Ramapo’s New Budget Gives Raises to Supervisor, Town Board; One Town Pool May Close

The Ramapo town board gave themselves raises between $17,000 and $20,000 in the 2019 budget that was approved last week. Specht says the budget also lowers the deficit inherited from the previous administration and The Journal News also noted the budget could close one of the town’s public swimming pools to save money. The audits from 2015 to 2017 have still not been completed, though Specht says they could be done soon.
