Hi Tor Board President Denies Rumors of Animal Euthanasia; Volunteers Sought

The president of the board of directors for Hi Tor Animal Care Center says there is no mass euthanasia going on at the shelter and all the pets there are being cared for despite rumors to the contrary. A social media flurry began over the weekend after the board fired the manager, Michael Sanducci, reportedly for abandoning his job to talk to the county executive about poor conditions at the shelter. Board president Debbie DiBernardo could not talk about the personnel matter that reportedly spurred many employees and volunteers to walk out, but says others have been covering for them and taking care of the shelter and the animals there…
