Former Rockland Priest is Being Investigated by Westchester Authorities

A former Rockland priest is being investigated by Westchester authorities after being accused by a parishioner at his current church of inappropriate behavior with a minor. Accusations against Reverend Thomas Kreiser of the Church of St. Joseph in Bronxville have been referred to the Westchester D-A’s office. An Archdiocese of New York spokesman said they and the parish are cooperating with the investigation. Reverend Kreiser was the pastor of Saint Gregory Barbarigo Church in Garnerville from 2008 until 2010, but in 2011 he pleaded guilty to stealing over $25,000 from the parish for Internet gambling and other personal uses. He got five years probation for that. He was also the pastor at Saint Patrick’s Church in Yorktown.
