Haverstraw Supervisor Calls for New Safety Features at Dangerous Train Crossing

Haverstraw’s Supervisor is calling for increased safety measures in the wake of a fatal train accident earlier this month. 60-year-old Guy Dure was struck and killed near the intersection of New Main Street and Conger Avenue. According to accident reports from the Federal Railroad Administration, the crossing has been the scene of seven prior accidents since 1979.
