Tense Moments at Stony Point Bank Emphasize Importance of “See Something, Say Something”

A suspicious white powder found at an area bank has Rockland’s sheriff praising the emergency response as better safe than sorry. Some tense moments Tuesday afternoon at Chase Bank on Liberty Drive in Stony Point came about when white powder brought out Stony Point Police, the Fire Department, EMS and the Rockland Haz-Mat team. Stony Point Police said the powder was just construction material, and everything was deemed safe.
