Moody’s Report Shines Spotlight on Rockland’s Financial Progress

A new Sector Comment Report on local government and deficit financing legislation from Moody’s Investors Service is out and holding up Rockland County as a model of comparison. The report looked at Rockland and the City of Long Beach. Five years ago both were in similar dire financial situations, but today Rockland has an A2 stable rating and Long Beach has a Baa1 with a negative outlook.
