Rockland Senator Wants Gov to Sign “Toll Payer Protection Act”

Rockland’s State Senator is hoping to put the brakes on runaway spending with one company that runs the EZ Pass system on the bridge and across the state. Conduent has come under fire for confusion over the new cashless tolling system. The company was also given a three-year contract extension and nearly $100 million despite the controversy. Senator David Carlucci wants Governor Andrew Cuomo to sign the “Toll Payer Protection Act”…

Carlucci has asked Conduent’s three-year contract to be discarded. Cuomo wants the entire Thruway system to be cashless by 2020.
