Ramapo Cancels Public Hearing and Withdraws Proposed Law to Give Tax Break to First-Time Home Buyers

The town of Ramapo has cancelled a public hearing that had been scheduled for the 27th and withdrawn a proposed local law that would have given a limited tax exemption for first-time home buyers. A petition had been circulating around town that indicated there’s plenty of new-buyer interest in Ramapo and therefore no reason to have the law, calling it a “gift” to new home developers and their buyers.
