Stony Point Man to be Sentenced for Gas Station Robbery

A Stony Point man will spend a decade in prison after pleading guilty Thursday to robbing a Haverstraw gas station with a sawed-off shotgun in January. Rockland D-A Tom Zugibe said 31 year-old David Molina, wearing dark clothing, a hat and a mask to cover his face, demanded money from an Exxon convenience store employee on Route 9W. Zugibie said no one was seriously hurt when the cashier struggled with Molina over the shotgun, before he fled with the cash from the register. Molina remains in the Rockland County Jail and will be sentenced in October.
