West Nyack Man Could Face Charges after Fireworks Mishap July 4th, 8 year-old Boy Injured

Clarkstown Police say charges could be filed against a 47 year old West Nyack man in connection with a fireworks mishap that sent a boy to the hospital Wednesday. Police responded to Demarest Mill Road in West Nyack the night of July 4th. They found an eight year-old boy with an injury below his eye. Clarkstown Police Detective Peter Walker says the victim’s neighbor was shooting off fireworks and one of them apparently exploded too soon…

The Nanuet Volunteer Ambulance Corps took the boy to Westchester Medical Center. He was treated and released, and the injuries did not appear to be life-threatening. The investigation is continuing.
