Rockland Lawmaker Pushing for Three-point Safety Belts on School Buses

An area lawmaker is pushing for a three-point seat belt law to be passed in New York State for school buses. Legislation proposed by Senator Carlucci would require new buses purchased after July next year to have three-point belts and older buses would have to be retro-fitted with them. The bill would also require students to use them.
