“Project Community Eyes” to Help Police Fight and Solve Crimes

The Rockland County Sheriff’s Department and the Chiefs of Police have launched what they’re calling “Project Community Eyes.” The voluntary program asks area businesses and residences that have surveillance camera systems to join a centralized database. Sheriff Lou Falco says the idea was inspired four years ago by the Super Bowl when it was held at the Meadowlands, and by large local events like the Pearl River Saint Patrick’s Day Parade, Nyack Street Fairs and the Halloween Parade…
