Sexual Harassment Laws Included in NYS Budget

When New York’s budget passed just a few days ago, new laws were included to address sexual harassment in the workplace. Critics feel, however, the laws don’t go far enough to protect victims. The new law requires state contractors to have a sexual harassment policy and their employees to be trained on it. Nondisclosure agreements could also only be used when the victim wants one, not for the person who committed the sexual harassment.
