Rockland DA: Sharing Information Can Help Keep Kids Safe, out of Trouble

With issues like school shootings seemingly dominating headlines every day, Rockland’s District Attorney says the best way to stay ahead of troublesome students is for agencies to share the information. Thomas Zugibe told “The Morning Show” last week that when he was a judge in West Haverstraw, he discovered that when he talked to school administrators about kids who had gotten arrested, he learned there was more to their stories than just what came out in court…

Zugibe created a program with the schools that encouraged them to monitor and share information on troublesome kids, and it eventually helped keep them out of trouble, increase their grades and decrease drop-out rates. That program is now in all Rockland schools.
