Following Saturday’s incident in which Ramapo’s police chief was denied entry to a school security seminar because he and a lieutenant were armed and in uniform, Ramapo Police got their registration fee refunded, and an invitation to the Central Hudson PTA’s Spring Conference. The incident occurred at the Mahwah Sheraton on Saturday and quickly went viral when the chief posted about the incident on Facebook. The heads of the state PTA and the Central Hudson PTA came to Police Headquarters yesterday to apologize and a promise to work together to enhance school children’s safety.
