Ramapo Soil Controversy Heading to Court; Supervisor Prefers to Settle Case

The piles of contaminated soil that were placed at Sloatsburg’s Community Field nearly a decade ago and then possibly removed under questionable circumstances may be unearthed in a court case slated to begin later this month. The case features the Rockland Sewer District and the town of Ramapo arguing over whether the soil was removed and how much was paid for that service.
