Golden Krust Abandons Plans for New HQ in Orangetown; Supervisor Working with Company to Find new Buyer

Orangetown’s supervisor is working with Golden Krust to figure out what to do with their Blauvelt property. The distributor of Caribbean food products purchased 17 acres off Route 303 in Blauvelt with the goal of building a $37 million world headquarters there. Orangetown Supervisor Chris Day told “The Morning Show” yesterday since their CEO’s suicide, the company’s plans have been scaled back, and he’s working with them to find a new buyer for the property…

The company bought the Blauvelt property in April 2016. In December the company’s founder and CEO killed himself, reportedly over financial issues.
