Rockland Legislator Hopes Taxi Law Gets Done

It’s been about ten years since Rockland has tried to regulate taxis in the county, and at least one legislator hopes a bill gets done this year. In what possibly could be considered another shared service, Haverstraw Legislator Jay Hood told “The Morning Show” Thursday that most villages like Suffern, Nyack and others already regulate taxis, but moving that responsibility to the county could make things more efficient…

The law wouldn’t affect ride-sharing services such as Uber or Lyft. Those fall under state regulations.
