Some 25 cars and trucks were involved in accidents on the Tappan Zee Bridge yesterday morning as the snow was at its slippery-est. State police said the first crash was reported around 9:30 that started on the northbound side of I-87. One of the vehicles struck a jersey barrier and pushed it into the left lane of southbound traffic causing a chain reaction of additional crashes, including a jackknifed tractor-trailer. Many of the lanes were closed for hours as the mess was cleaned up yesterday through the afternoon. There were reports of injuries, one woman was reportedly thrown from her car, but none was considered life-threatening.
