Two Rockland Schools ID’d by State as “Reward Schools”

The State Education Department identified two high-achieving and high-progress schools in Rockland as Reward Schools. Those are the ones that have high academic achievement or have shown the most progress in the state. The two Rockland schools to receive the honor were Clarkstown South Senior High School and Nanuet Senior High School. To earn the designation, a school must be among the top 20 percent of schools in the state for English language arts and math performance for the last two full school years, or, be among the top 10 percent of schools with gains in ELA and math performance last year.
