The deadline for the county to change-over to a new health care plan for about 2,600 county retirees has been moved out two months, from April first to June first. The deadline for withdrawing from the current insurance plan has also been extended. The deadline had been today, but that’s been pushed to February 28th. The proposed move from United Healthcare to Aetna Medicare Advantage has come under fire from seniors and legislators who feel they weren’t given enough notice about the switch.
