Former Orangetown Supervisor John Lovett to be Buried at St. Margaret’s in Pearl River

In 1970 the county transformed from a Board of Supervisors system of government, with Lovett helping create the Rockland County Legislature system we have today. Following his stint in the Legislature, he was appointed director of the Rockland County Department of Fiscal and General Services, a fancy title for “County Executive.” Lovett was 97 years old.
