GPS Helps Man Rob Westchester Houses; Also Helps Cops Bust Him

GPS devices can be great tools. One Manhattan man thought it would help him rob a bunch of houses in Westchester. Turns out it did, but what he didn’t count on was that it would also keep a record of where he’d been, allowing law enforcement to use it to prove he’d robbed the houses. Westchester D-A Anthony Scarpino says 52 year-old Angelo Carzoglio was sentenced to 18 years to life in state prison for burglarizing homes in Harrison, Irvington, Rye Brook, Tarrytown, Bedford, New Castle and Mamaroneck in 2014. He was convicted after a month-long non-jury trial in November.
