Negotiations are reportedly at a stand-still between the union that represents 400-plus employees at Indian Point Energy Center and the plant’s owner. The contract with the Utility Workers Union of America Local 1-2 expired last week, talks ground to a halt early Saturday, but they could start up again on Tuesday. Published reports said the union wants a collective bargaining agreement with Entergy that would extend through the plant’s scheduled closure in 2021. The union represents operations, radiation protection, chemistry and maintenance workers at the plant.
