Pomona Ex-Con to go Back Behind Bars

A Pomona ex-con convicted in September of stealing thousands of dollars from his investors’ $1.2 million investment fund will spend the next seven years behind bars. Michael Schlisser also has to repay nearly $1 million to investors who thought their money was being used to buy several companies. Instead, Schlisser was reportedly using the money to pay his bills of his own and his wife’s New City challah-baking business. He is due to turn himself in to start serving his sentence on January 31st. Schlisser had also been convicted in 2004 for securities and wire fraud. He was sentenced to five years in prison and ordered to pay back half a million dollars in that case.
