A Theills resident was among the four Port Authority officers who took down a suspected terrorist Monday in midtown. The Police Benevolent Association identified 36-year-old Drew Preston as one of the first to reach Akayed Ullah moments after he set off a pipe-bomb strapped to his chest in an underground walkway near Times Square and the Bus Terminal. Ullah was seriously injured when his “low-tech explosive device” reportedly went off accidentally. Three other people were treated for minor injuries.
