December 7, 2017: 76th Anniversary of Pearl Harbor Bombing

Today is the 76th anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor. More than 3,500 Americans lost their lives or were wounded that day, marking the United States’ entrance into World War two. Sleepy Hollow resident, 95 year-old Armando “Chick” Galella, was honored this past weekend at Suffern’s annual Pearl Harbor commemoration. Galella served in the Army’s 53rd Signal Corps at Hickam Field, Hawaii at the time.
