Stony Point Woman Charged with DWI, Hit and Run

A 35 year-old Stony Point woman was arrested Friday night after a hit-and-run accident in which a child was hit and received injuries to his head and leg. Ramapo police charged her with DWI, leaving the scene of an accident, assault and criminal possession of a controlled substance. The accident occurred on Route 202 near Route 306. The victim was taken to Westchester Medical Center by Hatzolah Ambulance. Police found the woman’s car in the parking lot of an area diner a short time later. Police say it had damage consistent with the injuries to the victim and matched the description provided by witnesses at the scene. The unidentified suspect was being held by Ramapo Police pending court arraignment.
