Investigation into Fatal Shooting of Rockland Corrections Officer Continues

State Police continue to investigate the incident in which Rockland Corrections officer, 42 year-old Frank Farina of Stony Point, died of a single gunshot wound to the head while driving his car in Orange County two weeks ago. Police say Farina was driving his car along Route 6 in Woodbury when he suffered an apparent gunshot wound to the head. Police say Farina’s vehicle then crossed the double yellow line, left the roadway, and struck a rock embankment. His wife, 42 year-old Jennifer Farina was taken to Orange Regional Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill with non-life threatening injuries.
