Sentencing for Former Ramapo Supervisor Delayed Indefinitely

Sentencing for former Ramapo supervisor Chris St. Lawrence has been delayed indefinitely as the judge wants to determine the extent of financial losses incurred by investors who bought the town’s bonds. U.S. Judge Cathy Seibel will reportedly begin taking testimony Wednesday morning on various sentencing issues. The Journal News reported that while St. Lawrence’s attorneys are recommending probation, prosecutors are asking for up to 14 years in prison. St. Lawrence was found guilty last May on 20 counts of fraud and conspiracy.
