Clarkstown Police Investigate Shots Fired Incident in New City; Three Arrested

Three people were arrested in connection with a shots-fired / attempted robbery incident on Lowell Drive in New City Thanksgiving Day. Clarkstown Police said two men approached a home and threatened the people there. One suspect had a knife and another had a revolver. They fled, but police detectives discovered 4 gunshots had struck the home. Two suspects were nabbed the following day, 20 year-old Hoang Vu of New City and a 16 year-old unidentified male from New City. Both face 2nd degree attempted murder, attempted assault and other charges. A third suspect connected to the other two was arrested later. 21 year-old Erik Jackson of Nanuet was hit with drug and weapons charges. All three were arraigned in Clarkstown Justice Court. Bail was set at $250,000 for Vu and the unidentified teen, $100,000 for Jackson. They were taken to Rockland County Jail and are set to return to court tomorrow. No injuries occurred during the incident, which remains under investigation.
