House Speaker Paul Ryan has said the plan’s pro-growth reforms would help America compete with the rest of the world. The president has asked for a tax plan to include scrapping Obamacare’s individual mandate, which the Congressional Budget Office estimated this month would save the government $338 billion over 10 years. The House Ways and Means Committee had reportedly already decided not to put the individual mandate repeal into its tax plan.
