6 year-old Killed in Bus Accident in Kiryas Joel

A 6 year-old Brooklyn girl was killed Friday morning after she crossed in front of the school bus she had just exited in Kiryas Joel. Published reports said she abruptly changed directions out of view of the bus driver. She was struck by the bumper and died at the scene. The girl had reportedly been staying with relatives as her parents were in Brooklyn attending a wedding. Video footage from a nearby livery cab’s dash camera will aid in the investigation.
