Rockland Officials Condemn NYC Terror Attack

Local officials are condemning the terror attack in the city yesterday that killed eight people. The Greenwich Village Halloween parade went on as scheduled and the same is planned for this weekend’s Marathon despite the attack, in which a man drove a rented truck on a bicycle path for blocks along the West Side Highway. Congresswoman Nita Lowey said “No act of terrorism will ever undermine the American spirit of freedom” while County Executive Ed Day assured Rockland residents we’ve got “a top-notch public safety component in place to keep us safe” and Legislature Chairman Toney Earl called the suspect a “coward.” The suspect was reportedly from Uzbekistan, but most recently lived in Paterson New Jersey.
