Ramapo Tops List of Government Employees’ Salaries

Empire Center, a non-profit think tank, has released its annual “What They Make” report of municipal employees’ salaries. Rockland County employees are at the top of the list, and Ramapo has four of the five highest paid individual employees in the state, all of them in the police department. One Ramapo police officer, before reportedly retiring in August, was the highest paid government employee in the state, earning about $442,000 for the fiscal year. The second- and third-highest paid employees were also Ramapo cops, each earned more than $360,000. To see the full report, visit EmpireCenter.org or click here for the report.
